Join us in planting 19 large oak trees to help create Heroes Wood - a commemmorative woodland in the grounds of Debdale Park, Gorton.
We'll be planting 19 large high impact oak trees, which will form 'Heroes Wood' - 100 large oak and hazel trees surrounded by a poppy meadow, and commemmorative seating, to help remember those who served their country in the Great War 1914-1918 and armed conflicts since.
On the day we'll be moving the large trees into the holes, helping to rake over the poppy meadow as well as backfilling holes and creating tree stakes. There will be jobs for everyone to do.
All tools, equipment will be provided.
Taking place 10am - 3pm at Debdale Park.
