Inspiring children to love trees

7 December 2017

We worked with students from The University of Salford and pupils from Spotland Primary School to create this film about the importance of our trees and woods.

City of Trees has been working with young people since it's inception and to date has engaged over 4,450 children, inspiring them to love trees and woods.

As part of this work we not only plant trees on school grounds and in local greenspace as part of our Trees for Learning project but also work inside the classroom, linking the curriculm to nature based activities.

This film shows the students from Spotland Primary School in Rochdale, who we worked with to plant trees on their grounds, as well as got them to create some amazing animation showing the importance of our trees and woodlands.

The film has been produced by students from The University of Salford, in partnership with Spotland Primary School, for the Heritage Trees project.
