Barrington horse chestnut

A small group of residents and neighbours look after the green spaces on Barrington Road, Altrincham. Over the last couple of years they have raised funds for plants and bulbs primarily for Barrington Green. Barrington Green is on the corner of Barrington Road & Hazel Road, Altrincham. The team have put in many hours of weeding, pruning and planting & their efforts have restored a lovely local Green. A few years ago the council cut down a large poplar tree from the corner of the green. I found a horse chestnut growing in my very small garden and in April 2017 I re-planted this on the green close to the stump of the poplar. I suppose you'd class it as small sapling, around 3 years old & 85cm tall so early days
